Description

The North Wall Series is a series of large abstract expressionistic oil paintings inspired by The North Wall Effect,  referring to the region of most dramatic temperature change between the cold water to the north and the warm Gulf Stream water to the south.

These were painted using deep cool colors of blue and black, juxtaposed with warmer greens and the warm white of the raw canvas.

The dominant color in the North Wall Series 3- 64x56x2 Oil on canvas is a deep blue, representing the cold water of the North Wall. The blue is juxtaposed with warmer tones of green, representing the warm Gulf Stream water to the south. The colors blend and mix together, creating a sense of transition and movement.
