Description

The Ellipse at DC is a 48hx108w inch acrylic painting on unstretched canvas that was created en plein air in the serene beauty of the DC Arboretum. 

It traveled quite a bit between my studios in DC and Tampa. It had a wonderful debut during DC Art All Night, where I performed a live painting performance in front of thousands of people and was featured in the acclaimed Georgetowner newspaper.

With each brushstroke and every ripple of color, I find myself drawn to the transcendent allure of light and shadow, where the moon and the sun’s golden rays cast their radiant embrace upon the world. It is a theme that resonates deeply within me, reflecting the harmony and balance that exists within nature’s grand design.

The liquid gold in the piece drips with so much joy.
