Somewhere Over the Rainbow…. Dreaming of Kauai , 40×30 mixed media, is a self-portrait inspired by paddling in an outrigger canoe in Hanalei Bay on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.

As an observer of the land, the sea, the weather -I embody the essence of the experience into my art and magic happens. In this case, I imagine myself living in a beautiful home on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. I’m totally in the flow sitting out by my pool painting the amazing scene and feeling all the Aloha that the island has to offer.

It is a serene waterscape featuring the lush mountains of Kauai in the distance. Various magical mixed media boats are moored on the water, contributing to the tranquil maritime atmosphere. The environment suggests a leisurely and peaceful setting, perhaps akin to a quiet Sunday afternoon.
