Sunflower for Perseverance 24×24 is part of the Sunflowers for Solidarity Collection created at the  Georgetown Art Walk in DC. it has become my passion project to raise money for the women and children of Ukraine. I’ll be painting sunflowers all up the East Coast, selling them and donating a portion of the proceeds to World Central Kitchen. Painting sunflowers and surrounding myself with them has always made me feel safe and happy like I’m wrapped in a cozy blanket of joy. To me, sunflowers signify beauty, strength and freedom. That’s what I want for the people of Ukraine right now. I see the women fighting there as beautiful sunflowers and their children as brave sunflowers.
