Caroline Karp Artist is demonstrating painting with acrylics, her acclaimed Slice of Life painting called The Infinity Pool of South Beach. This piece was loving made after a vacation to South Beach Miami. If you’ve ever been there, then you know that it’s a magical place unlike any other place. People look and act differently while they are visiting. I can’t explain why … it’s just a different experience. The inspiration for this piece occurred just after sunrise one morning during my stay at The National, on South Beach Miami. I have never seen an infinity pool quite this beautiful. The movement of the lone swimmer disrupted the extreme calmness of the water in the pool. The reflections of the surrounding objects started to move with the water as well as the edges of the pool became undefined.
