Sunset at Saltpond is a painting of my first Hawaiian sunset in a remote place that the locals come to.
The earth on the beach is different than white powdery sand on the west coast of Florida. It’s red. Kinda like Georgia red clay. And of course, the mountains and all the chickens everywhere sets it apart even further. What captured my attention were the families that were there camping and getting in their last swim before the last light. The painting captures all of this emotion.
