Transformation has always been central to my work—those moments when something fragile becomes strong, when movement replaces hesitation, when we rise into what’s next. With Brave Wings She Flies was created from that place of becoming, where creativity and courage meet.
The dragonfly emerges with translucent wings held open in trust, its form both delicate and resilient. A fossil-like spine runs through the body, referencing alignment, energy, and the quiet work of building strength from within. Layered textures and luminous surfaces allow the piece to feel alive—caught between motion and stillness, flight and grounding.
When I was invited to collaborate with Little Bee Gallery, the alignment felt immediate. Their mission—funding pediatric therapy directly through art—mirrors my belief that creativity should create real, tangible impact. I donated this piece so that when it sells, 100% of net proceeds go directly toward funding physiotherapy sessions, supporting strength, mobility, and independence through care.
Knowing that this work represents approximately fifty therapy sessions gives its wings even greater meaning. Art, when rooted in purpose, becomes more than expression—it becomes action.
Exploring other works in my transformation and intention-driven collection reveals how symbols, materials, and meaning evolve across the series.

My work and teaching are grounded in the belief that creativity builds confidence, resilience, and agency. Through the Creative Genius Zone, I share a living creative practice with children and adults—using art as a bridge between expression and empowerment. Whether I’m painting in my studio or teaching live, I return to the same intention: to help people rise into their own strength and see possibility where they once felt stuck.
With Brave Wings She Flies
Mixed media on canvas
Painted in Tampa, Florida in 2020, With Brave Wings She Flies is part of my ongoing Word of Intention Art body of work, which explores personal transformation, resilience, and embodied meaning through layered materials and symbolism.
The underpainting of this work was originally represented by The ArtWorks Gallery, St. Petersburg, Florida. The completed mixed-media piece was later exhibited internationally and represented by ArtKaroo Arthouse, Oudtshoorn, South Africa, as part of the Art Karoo outdoor arts program.
The work incorporates natural elements—including shells, stones, and fossils—embedded into the structure of the dragonfly, forming its spine. Seven elements are intentionally placed, referencing the seven chakras and the concept of energetic alignment and awakening.
The evolution and layered construction of the piece have been documented through video, offering insight into both the physical process and symbolic foundations of the work.
In a later chapter of its history, With Brave Wings She Flies was donated to Little Bee Gallery as part of a philanthropic collaboration supporting pediatric therapy. Through this partnership, the artwork serves as a vehicle for direct impact, with net proceeds from its sale funding physiotherapy sessions for a child in need.
