Koi Fish and Bloom, 30×40 oil on canvas, naturally go together as a pair that can be hung side by side or in the same room. Or if you have 2 homes… one can go here and the other there. 

They are both painted in luxurious oil paints and inspired by each other. In fact, the fanciful koi fish can be seen swimming in both paintings.

On the day that I painted Bloom, the koi painting was centered at the end of a table that is actually a painting on wood that I made into a table 

I had beautiful tulips in a handmade vase on the table and thought the scene quite lovely and full of joy and captured it in a composition. I hope you aren’t confused… if so just ask me and I’ll explain.
