Palm Trees Forever is a coastal landscape painting inspired by the quiet beauty of light filtering through palm trees at sunrise and sunset. This piece reflects a moment of noticing—when the sun strikes the backs of the palms and small glimmers of color peek through.

As the bright light strikes the backs of the palms, layers of color peek through the fronds, creating movement, rhythm, and a sense of timelessness. What might normally pass unnoticed becomes luminous. The palms stand steady, silhouetted against the sky, while the ocean beyond shimmers with reflected light. It’s a moment of pause—where land, water, and sky briefly align.

Created in mixed media, this piece embraces expressive mark-making and layered texture, allowing the energy of the scene to unfold intuitively. The work reflects my ongoing fascination with how light transforms familiar landscapes and how presence allows us to see beauty hiding in plain sight.
